Part Time Tech Assistant

Overview

Assist in the proactive mission of promoting effective use of technology throughout the organization. Responsible for implementing customer service standards of user centered technology support with courteous, responsive and accurate support to technology problems and issues. This position is part of a fast-paced, team structured organization.

The hours for this position is up to 19 hours a week and the hourly rate is $17 an hour.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoots basic technology problems, referring more complex problems that cannot be resolved to the Technology Resource Specialist (TRS)
  • Provide basic guidance to users on the use of library software and hardware.
  • Assists staff with the facilitation of in-person and virtual programs
  • Assists TRS with major initiatives and projects
  • Responsible for providing customer service

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Experience and/or Knowledge of various Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel and Word
  • Familiarity with Zoom and/or other video conference platforms
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Can work as part of a team
