Opportunity: Virtual Service Operations is searching for an experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic IT team in Ashburn, VA. This hybrid role requires candidates to work approximately 2 days per week on-site. This role requires the ability to develop code and help troubleshoot issues arising from working with the different teams.  Ideally, this individual will work independently and with other members of the team in design, develop solutions and creating test cases for new development, as well as supporting deployment of the software to the production environment to ensure that all systems are working properly.  This position also requires an individual to support testing with all of the client application teams as part of the testing phase of the new developed code.  In addition, this person must be available to support issues or concerns associated with the travelers if the need ever arrives.  This includes participating in on-call rotation over evenings, holidays and weekends if it is needed.  Basic Qualifications:   * Over 10 years of experience with the following:  Java. Sprint-Boot, Maven, React, Angular languages/frameworks/testing
* Experience in Troubleshooting problems
* Good Customer interaction and communication including working with other teams to develop requirements
* Good communication skills including documentation and ticket resolution
* On rare occasions, be willing to support the contract in evening, weekend, and holidays is ever needed
* Willing to travel to the DC area once or twice a week (on-site visits to Ashburn)
* Can work with a team or independently
* Looking into logs to determine cause of issues.  Preferred Qualifications:   * Experience with the following: Harness, Gitlab, Confluence, Jira, Agile development
* DHS BI clearance
* Develop test cases for testers to use during the testing phase Requirements * Must be able to work approximately 2 days per week on-site in Ashburn, VA
* Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.
* Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to start
