Join us! We have a new and exciting position for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Virtual Connection Specialist. The Virtual Connection Specialist will support the needs of direct support staff and persons served and assist onsite staff through virtual supports such as video, sensors, two-way communication and other technology.

The weekly schedule for this position is Saturday and Sunday - and one week day required preferably between Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday 8:00 am - 8:00 pm.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years old or older
  • High school diploma or a GED
  • Two (2) years' experience of providing direct care for adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities, brain injury, mental illness or similar experience required.
  • Previous experience providing remote support, preferred.
  • Ability to work from our call center during all scheduled work hours. Our call center is located in Waterloo, IA.
  • This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record, a reliable vehicle and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check.


Details:

  • Pay Rate: $17.25 - $19.75 Rate of pay depends upon experience.
  • This position is primarily in the office at our Deery Center location in Waterloo, IA. DSP-Virtual Connection Specialists also assist at program sites to support operational needs.
