Job description

Description:   Hybrid School Psychologist - Full Time  (partial virtual schedule) 
Terms of Employment:  10 month position - temporary if hired after the teacher contractual start date of the 24-25 school year
Reports to:  Building Principal - location to be determined
Salary:  Current teacher salary schedule (minimum M+30), plus higher rate stipend(s)
Minimum Qualifications:







 
  • Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in school psychology or its equivalent (e.g. MA, C.A.S.)
  • Eligibility for DE license
 

School Psychologist Position Overview:

 
  • Ability to construct a hybrid schedule that permits up to 2 days of work from home to complete tasks requiring individualized attention (i.e., report writing)

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessments of current and suspected special education students 

  • Consult and collaborate with, support, and/or coach individual or teams of teachers/school personnel regarding classroom management, individual student needs, data collection

  • Participate in pre-referral problem-solving teams (e.g., academic social-emotional/behavior MTSS)

  • Interpret data and diagnoses to school personnel, families, and students (as appropriate)

  • Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and assist in developing Behavior Support/Intervention Plans

  • Use data and research to assist in determining when and which supports, accommodations, and/or modifications students need to be successful in educational settings

  • Report behavioral data analysis and progress to appropriate entities

  • Provide individual and/or group counseling as needed

  • Provide crisis-related social-emotional and behavioral support, including participation in risk/threat screenings

  • Participate in IEP meetings, to include reporting of assessment results and progress, providing input for decision-making (e.g., eligibility, programming, manifestation determination)

  • Participate in and provide building/district professional development

  • Other duties as assigned
