Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 1 months worked in the last 12 months.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• ASN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Carolina license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast and no current placement allowed at Program: Simplifi Program - Advocate Health Southeast.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Basic Med/Tele skillset: cardiac rhythm interpretation, experience with non-titrating cardiac drips (Cardizem/Amiodarone), wound care, drain/tube management, PIV starts, central line management.

Required Credentials: ASN / BSN

Special Requests: RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays; must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours.

Unit Details: Patient population includes stroke, respiratory illnesses (flu/pneumonia/COVID), renal failure, peritoneal dialysis, and wounds. RN ratios 1:5-6; surge staffing could have ratios of 1:7-8. Support within the department includes CNA support for ADLs, mobility, and feeding; no HUC; charge nurse may or may not have a patient assignment; phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, and telemetry monitoring/tech available; RT, hospitalist, and intensivist available 24/7. Uses VNO virtual nursing (10 cameras); virtual RNs can act as a 2nd RN witness for certain meds, closely monitor patients requiring special monitoring, and assist with admission/discharge items. Free parking.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. Possibility of low census call; can be called back up to 3a for nights and up to 3p for days. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.

Floating Requirements: Float within Region 3 as needed, within scope of practice: Cleveland, Kings Mtn, Lincoln, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH).

6 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months
