Job description

Our client is seeking a Paralegal to join its Real Estate team in its Houston area office. The successful candidate will work in a friendly, collaborative environment and be primarily responsible for acquisition due diligence and retail leasing.

Specific duties include:
  • Assisting the legal, leasing, property management, and construction teams to create, maintain and supervise contracts and legal commitments
  • Prepare leases, amendments, purchase and sale contracts, management agreements, development agreements, construction contracts and partnership agreements
  • Process leases and enter abstract information into company accounting software
  • Assist with closings and conduct due diligence for leasing and property acquisitions including UCC searches, title and survey review, lease and contract review
  • Coordinate with title company and lender representatives
  • Assist in-house attorneys with general legal and administrative functions.
