Job Description

DUTIES: Supports the definition, design, and development of continuously improving mobility services. SDV is a new vehicle intelligence platform that will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving. Participates in the program management for GM Infotainment system development. Works on the entire software life cycle beginning with the software requirement definition and program planning to the final delivery of a commercial product to the market. Works closely with both local and global software teams and interacts with different functional groups in order to deliver the software programs on time with high quality and within budget. Manages software programs to ensure product delivery from GM software teams are on schedule and delivered with high quality. Works with multiple Scrum teams to create, maintain and track the program schedule. Drives and coordinates different teams to ensure each milestone is reached on schedule. Manages changes, risks, and issues. Ensures issues get highlighted, addressed and resolved timely and effectively. Tracks program progress and report status to the management team. Takes ownership of managing dependencies and coordinate between teams as needed. Monitors program quality assurance (QA) activities. Hybrid Work Policy - 3 Day In-Office, 2 Days Remote - Must Be Able to Report to Local Office

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer, QA Engineer, Technical Lead, or related role. OR Master's degree in Computer Applications, Applied Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and Three (3) years of experience as a Software Developer, QA Engineer, Technical Lead, or related role. Three (3) years of experience with: Software program management methodologies and tools, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Jira; Embedded product software and validation testing; Developing and deploying software products in global markets with virtual teams; Developing for Android, QNX, Linux, and embedded systems; Developing for automotive and portable consumer electronics; Overseeing the entire software life cycle, including requirement definition, program planning, and final product delivery to market.
