Manager, Government Partnerships & Program Delivery
Location: Michigan
Reports to: Director of Program Management (Government Operations)
The Manager, Government Partnerships & Program Delivery plays a strategic role in overseeing automated traffic enforcement and school bus safety programs across a defined multi-city region. Responsible for a diverse portfolio of municipal clients, the Senior Account Manager leads program implementation, fosters trusted stakeholder relationships, and drives retention, expansion, and operational excellence. This individual serves as a liaison between internal teams and public sector partners to deliver technology-enabled safety solutions that support community well-being.
Responsibilities:
  • Government Relationship Management
    • Serve as the primary relationship manager for assigned government agency partners.
    • Build and maintain trusted relationships with agency leadership and operational stakeholders.
    • Maintain regular communication with government partners to ensure alignment on program objectives and performance.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for government stakeholders regarding program operations, performance updates, and issue resolution.
    • Address partner questions, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
    • Support ongoing engagement with government partners to strengthen collaboration and ensure long-term program success.

    Program Management & Delivery
    • Oversee the successful execution of programs delivered in partnership with government agencies.
    • Track program milestones, performance metrics, and operational outcomes.
    • Identify and proactively address risks that could impact program delivery or partner satisfaction.
    • Ensure programs operate in compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
    • Maintain program documentation and reporting as required by government partners and internal leadership.

    Cross-Functional Coordination
    • Collaborate with internal teams including operations, engineering, customer success, and legal to support program implementation and ongoing delivery.
    • Ensure internal teams remain aligned with government partner expectations and program objectives.
    • Facilitate communication between internal teams and government stakeholders when addressing operational issues or program improvements.

    Partnership Development
    • Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships with existing government partners.
    • Support initiatives that expand programs within existing jurisdictions or partnerships.
    • Provide internal teams with insights into government partner priorities, operational needs, and policy considerations.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting
    • Monitor program performance and partner satisfaction.
    • Prepare updates, reports, and presentations for government partners when required.
    • Track key program metrics and ensure commitments to government partners are consistently met.
  • Qualifications:
  • 4 years of experience in a Government and Industry Relations (GIR) role, and/or experience as a state level legislative staff member and/or in a relevant discipline with a proven track record leading comparable operations and programs is required.
  • 2 years of political support experience at the state or large municipality level is required, experience with transportation, safety, technology/security is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to understand diverging points of view within the community and quickly build consensus on strategy; to foster collaborative decision making and ensure success.
  • Persuasive communication skills and the ability to translate complex concepts and programs into concise and credible messages at the highest levels of government and business, down to community stakeholders, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with government officials, policymakers, industry associations, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to advocate for the company's interests and negotiate effectively on policy issues.
  • A strong alignment with BusPatrol's vision of student safety.
  • An existing network within government and related industry circles is preferred
  • Proven planning and analytical skills to evaluate complex situations and recommend effective solutions and next steps.
  • Excellent attention to detail in all aspects of work.
