REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Employee Experience 

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None  

LOCATION: Anywhere ADL has an office  

Grade/Class: Grade F, Exempt, Non-Union

PRIMARY FUNCTION: 

The Employee Experience team is focused on creating and delivering exceptional experiences. We are ambassadors of our people, culture and core values, and we partner with our leadership team to ensure the success of our people and our organization. 

The Manager, Employee Experience manages a broad and integrated portfolio of employee experience initiatives. This role owns a focused portfolio which includes the new hire onboarding experience and thorough analysis of employee engagement surveys. This is a pivotal role, shaping, overseeing and administering the end-to-end process for employee experience initiatives across ADL. 

Responsibilities

Primary:

  • Learning & Development: Curate, develop and maintain engaging, impactful programs and experiences including new hire onboarding and the intern program.  
  • Performance Management: Support ADL's performance management cycle and feedback initiatives, ensuring alignment with goals and continuous improvement strategies. 
  • Employee Engagement: Support ADL's engagement survey strategy by turning analyzed data into strategic themes and actionable recommendations. 
  • Management & Administration: Administer and project manage Employee Experience tasks including the annual calendar, LMS and vendor relationships. 
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Serve as an internal thought partner, staying current on industry trends and best practices to incorporate into the Employee Experience strategy.

Qualifications

Skills:  

  • Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles including ADDIE and Kirkpatrick's Levels of Evaluation; 
  • Master facilitator & ISD-proficient in tailoring content to diverse audiences;. 
  • Proven success in designing engaging, creative, scalable and impactful programs; 
  • Ability to use data and evaluation frameworks to assess outcomes and drive continuous improvement; 
  • Instructional design (ISD) experience creating and designing content for varied modalities (in-person, virtual, and self-paced); 
  • Proficiency in the following platforms: Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Box, Asana, Absorb LMS, Canva, and other related systems.

Work Experience:  

  • The ideal candidate can demonstrate a progressive increase in responsibility and skills in L&D, Talent Development, Performance, Leadership, OD or HR, and experience designing, facilitating and managing projects, initiatives and programs that support the employee experience. 

Education:  

  • Bachelor's degree in L&D, OD, HR, related field or equivalent professional experience. 

Work Environment: 

  • ADL is a hybrid environment; this role will require 3 days in the office.  

Compensation:

  • This position has a salary range of $90,000 to $105,000. This salary range is reflective of a position based in (New York, NY). Please note that actual salaries are commensurate with experience and reflect the budget for a given position, and since ADL has a location-based compensation structure, there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.For an overview of our total rewards package, please visit https://www.adl.org/about/careers.
