Job Description:

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative IT leader to join our team supporting an independent Federal agency that, for nearly three decades, has tapped the ingenuity and courage of the American people to meet America's toughest challenges. Working with nonprofit and community organizations, state and local agencies, Tribal nations, and other partners, AmeriCorps' programs improve lives, strengthen communities, and foster civic engagement through service and volunteering. GDIT supports that mission by providing fully managed IT services to include service desk, cybersecurity, network support, enterprise architecture, cloud integration, hardware and software asset management, application development/modernization, and data warehouse development. The position is located in Washington, DC.

This role is for the overall Program Management of a 50-person program. The successful candidate will have a track record of excellent service delivery. The position is responsible for supervising all personnel, managing senior-level customer relationships, recruiting and onboarding of new team members.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are absolutely essential in this role. The role requires the ability to successfully juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent work streams. The successful candidate will thrive on the challenge.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieving financial and growth targets
  • Developing lasting relationships with the customer and serving as a trusted advisor
  • Organizing, directing, and managing multiple complex and inter- related project tasks
  • Building a culture throughout the team consistent with GDIT values around honesty, trust, transparency and alignment
  • Overseeing and continually improving delivery
  • Managing staff and subcontractors, ensuring productivity of remote workers

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors required; Master's Degree preferred (experience may be substituted for this requirement on a case-by-case basis)
  • PMP and ITIL Certifications are Required
  • 10+ years progressive experience in managing/leading IT programs
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure and/or software development projects
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity best practices
  • Leadership qualities that translate into business outcomes - specifically around team building and cohesion, client relationship development, and strategic thinking
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, both verbal and written. Must have the ability to present in front of audiences of any size

Location: Applicants must live in DC metro area and be on client site at minimum 3 days per week.

The likely salary range for this position is $161,500 - $218,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
