Job description

Raytheon-Rafael Area Protection Systems (R2S), a dynamic and fast-growing joint venture between Raytheon and Rafael, is seeking a results-driven Material Program Manager to support execution of major defense programs—most notably the Iron Dome AUR production, and David Sling’s Weapons System.

A Material Program Manager position is currently available as a remote position. This is a Full-Time position. Great matching candidates will have twelve plus years of working experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Operations. The MPM serves as the liaison between the Program Manager, Integrated Product Team, other functional leads, and the Supply Chain Organization. This position requires an individual who will be able to exert impact and influence the overall goals of the Program and the IPT.  The ideal candidate will have financial, contracting, negotiation and project management responsibilities including, but not limited to, risk and opportunity management, briefing in customer forums, negotiating large subcontracts, and monthly/quarterly financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Brief program and customer leadership teams on Supply Chain status, material constraints and risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans
  • Support supplier negotiations and drive PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives
  • Contribute to timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) to include Risk & Opportunity management
  • Identifying Customer Prime Contract Flow-Downs and obtaining any required Terms Attachments (T-Attachments) and/or Modifications (TCMs).
  • Assisting with the generation of Supplier Statements of Work (SSOWs).
  • Generating Supplier Request for Information/Proposals/Quotes (RFIs/RFPs/RFQs) and obtaining and understanding supplier proposals/quotes.
  • Generating and processing Supplier New Add / Re-Activation requests.
  • Participating in and co-leading supplier engagements and reviews to ensure supplier performance.
  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally, as required (expected to be >25%)
  • Assist in managing the Material / Sales Forecasts
  • Interface with cross-functional IPT to ensure schedules are adhered to with proper sense of urgency to achieve internal and external customer delivery requirements.
  • Initiate and support process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively, verbally and in writing, to all organizational levels and cross-functional groups.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude who can work at setting priorities while multi-tasking to meet various deadlines on short notice.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field and at least 12 years of subcontract; or related experience or equivalent experience in lieu of degree (2 years’ experience for each year of degree.)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Experience working with Earned Value and Proposal Development
  • Negotiation experience
  • Experienced user of MS Office Suite

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least ten years working experience with FAR/DFAR contracting
  • CSPM/CPIM or other APICS certification
  • Experience in ERP – namely IFS
  • Ability to achieve an Active secret clearance
