Description

Tyto Athene is searching for a Program Manager to manage a Unified Communications (UC) services program and a team of expert engineers and technicians supporting a mission critical high profile government customer in the National Capital Region. The Program Manager will be responsible for the operational planning, establishment, execution, and evaluation of the program and projects providing full lifecycle support to UC services. Services include current and future UC capabilities spanning audio visual, video conferencing, digital signage, internet protocol television, telephony, and chat services. The Program Manager will also be responsible for Program Cost, Schedule, Performance, and Cybersecurity in support of the government customer. As the principal point of contact to government stakeholders, the Program Manager will oversee fiscal, operational, administrative, and human resources management of the program; serve as the principal liaison with external constituencies, and provide day-to-day technical/professional guidance and leadership as appropriate.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK v7) and advanced scheduling techniques to ensure multiple, simultaneous, and inter-related projects at disparate locations are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate Tyto and Subcontractor Teammates in the delivery of customer requirements.
  • Supervise program and project changes / upgrades as needed in accordance with government requirements.
  • Oversee documentation of technical challenges and coordinate courses of action with stakeholders.
  • Provide program team leadership and overall responsibility for ensuring successful management of the program for the customer.
  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact. Coordinate with the customer to ensure all program objectives and expectations are aligned and executable. Maintain close communication with the Government COR.
  • Work to resolve conflicts among the team, including the customer; align expectations, and develop both short term and long-term plans to lead the program to its successful conclusion.
  • Ensure the program team understands and has appropriate resources to meet and verify all contractual requirements (cost, technical, schedule) to include performance, quality, regulatory compliance, etc., develop the program plan with the team and conduct regular program reviews, to report and track performance to the plan.
  • Foster team development, encouraging leadership behaviors from all project team members and sharing ownership for the outcomes.
  • Provide program direction during all phases of the program to accomplish cost and schedule objectives and proactively work with the team and customer to address and mitigate the impact of unplanned events (failures, realized risks, material issues, etc.) on the organization and customer.
  • Achieve operational objectives by preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying, tracking, and managing risks; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
  • Accomplish human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing Tyto Quality Management standards.
  • Translate understanding of customer mission and objectives into company/account strategic goals; provide input to the company's strategic planning process and recommend/lead new business pursuits and/or possible expansions.
  • Monitor practices and processes to guide the implementation of compliance and improvement strategies.
  • Utilize available information, metrics, and evaluations to develop recommendations for change.
  • Organize and direct teams to address critical system failures.
  • Work with other program managers and project managers to successfully bring projects to completion.
  • Perform project management and oversight to the UC team activities, including but not limited to the tasks below:
    • Coordinate AV hardware installation across multiple sites.
    • Coordinate all aspects of AV fit-up in new and existing buildings.
    • Train government customers in proper use of UC systems.
    • Prepare operational guides.
    • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of UC systems.
    • Provide assistance to users in accessing and using UC systems.
    • Document hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures.
    • Apply concepts and define and implement hardware and software configuration management processes and procedures, such as creating product build scripts and procedures, and integrate those scripts with the hardware and software build process.
    • Conduct site surveys.
    • Review and approve project cost proposals.
    • Interpret and review drawings, specifications, and other related documents.
    • Work with engineering personnel, customers, vendors, and other personnel to gather requirements, make recommendations, and create project plan documents.
    • Oversee implementation of AV projects.
    • Act as a backup equipment custodian and perform inventory asset management and accountability functions.
    • Develop and approve installation schedules based upon equipment delivery, integration complexity, and customer priorities.\
Qualifications

Required:

  • Ten (10) years in relevant program/project management experience involving IT and/or AV integration projects.
  • PMP Certification

Desired:

  • Experience with one or more of the following:  IT or AV projects, Crestron, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams Room Systems, Cisco Video Conferencing, Haivision, Mass Notification, Land Mobile Radio.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience with VTC/AV integration projects.
