Job description

Bon Secours Neurology Clinic, Westchester is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant  with at least 2 years of Neurology experience, to support our growing inpatient consult service and ambulatory follow-up clinic. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working collaboratively with a team of neurologists and advanced practice clinicians.

  • Location: 601 Watkins Centre Parkway, Suite 250, Midlothian, VA

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Call: Not required

  • Daily Volume: 8–10 patients per day

  • Patient Population: Adults (18+)

  • Split: Half-day inpatient consult service; half-day ambulatory clinic (with potential for remote/MyChart follow-ups)

  • Telemedicine: Some clinic time allocated to virtual visits

Responsibilities
  • Support inpatient neurology consult service (approximately half-day daily)

  • Conduct hospital follow-up and routine outpatient neurology visits

  • Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and physical exams

  • Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans in collaboration with supervising neurologists

  • Order medications and treatments in accordance with Virginia prescriptive authority

  • Respond to patient calls and MyChart messages

  • Coordinate referrals and ensure continuity of care

  • Participate in professional development and quality improvement initiatives

  • Exercise independent clinical judgment consistent with training and scope of practice

Qualifications
  • Licensed NP (Family NP or Adult Geriatric Acute Care NP) or Physician Assistant

  • Minimum 2 years of neurology experience required

  • BLS and ACLS certification required

  • Eligible for Virginia licensure

  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to adhere to established treatment plans while demonstrating critical thinking
