# Project Engineer- ElectricalApply**Job#: 3034936****Job Description:**Project Engineer- Electrical**Location:** Hopkinton, Massachusetts (On-site) **Employment Type:** ContractRole OverviewThis position supports the LNG Engineering & Technical Services group by providing design review, specification development, and overall support for plant electrical, instrumentation, and controls projects. The role involves a high level of knowledge of plant systems, including electrical switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, transmitters, and PLC/DCS systems. The engineer will guide the selection and integration of new equipment, manage projects within their discipline, and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards.Key Responsibilities* Participate in project meetings, serving as the subject matter expert for instrumentation, controls, and electrical systems.* Assist project managers in the planning, execution, engineering, and management of capital projects.* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NFPA 59A, 70E, 40 CFR 193, Article 500 of the NEC, and other applicable standards.* Support the development of project budgets, cost estimates, and bid specifications.* Manage and execute projects related to low and medium voltage power systems, controls systems, security systems, and instrumentation.* Respond to submittals and RFIs in a timely manner.* Support the development of new process and equipment procedures.* Identify and document lessons learned for future projects.* Provide on-site construction support, monitoring quality and providing feedback.* Travel to various sites within Massachusetts and one site in Connecticut as needed.Required Qualifications**Education:** An Associate's degree or higher is required.**Experience:** 8-10 years of experience on an engineering, maintenance, technology, or construction project team supporting power, manufacturing, or process plant construction and maintenance.**Technical Skills:*** Strong understanding of AC and DC power, hazardous area classifications, transformers, switchgear, motor control centers, VFDs, motors, UPS systems, instrumentation, and fiber optics.* Ability to interpret drawings and other technical documents.* Capability to perform basic calculations to confirm the sizing of equipment and conductors.* Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).* Must have a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle for travel between sites.Preferred Qualifications* Experience with LNG is a significant plus.Compensation & BenefitsThe anticipated pay range for this position is $55.00/hr to $60.00/hr.
