Job description

Duties: The Mohawk Regional Information Center (MORIC) is seeking three online learning instructors, with one position available in each of the following New York State certification areas:
  • English Language Arts, grades 7 through 12
  • French, grades 7 through 12
  • Social Studies, grades 7 through 12

Each instructor will deliver daily synchronous and/or asynchronous online instruction to students enrolled in our virtual learning and tutoring services during regular school hours.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing consistent, high-quality online instruction in virtual environments.
  • Building strong relationships with students, caregivers, and home school districts.
  • Demonstrating excellent communication, organizational, and progress monitoring skills.

The MORIC offers school districts a range of online courses taught by New York State certified teachers. These courses provide individualized learning opportunities for students who are unable to participate in a traditional, in-person setting.
Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an education-related field and the appropriate New York State teaching certification are required. Experience teaching in an online or virtual environment is preferred.
Location of Position: Verona, NY
Term of Employment: Full-time
Salary: $ 70,869 (Starting salary based on candidate's education, relevant experience and qualifications)
