Job description

Description
  • Deliver instructor-led training sessions in high-fidelity simulators, including pre-briefs, mission execution, and comprehensive debriefs with objective performance analysis.
  • Develop and update training scenarios, lesson plans, and instructional materials aligned with current tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
  • Evaluate trainee performance using established metrics and provide constructive feedback to improve skills in air combat maneuvering, weapons employment, sensor operations, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, software development, and test teams to validate simulator fidelity, identify discrepancies, and support system enhancements (including AI-augmented training modules).
  • Maintain currency with platform-specific publications, safety directives, and evolving threat environments.
  • Support program milestones, including test events, customer demonstrations, and rapid surge training requirements (CONUS/OCONUS as needed).
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of training programs through after-action reviews and integration of emerging technologies such as digital engineering and AI-driven adaptive training.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation, Aerospace, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent military experience).
  • Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience as a military pilot, preferably with instructor qualifications (e.g., IP, TOPGUN, or equivalent).
  • Recent operational or instructional experience in F-35 or F/A-18 platforms strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in tactical aviation, flight instruction, and simulator-based training.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
  • Active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Requirements
  • Prior experience as a Simulator Instructor or in a formal training squadron/unit.
  • Familiarity with DoD training systems, LVC (Live-Virtual-Constructive) environments, and modern simulation architectures.
  • Experience supporting Navy programs such as F-35, F/A-18, or related or aviation training contracts.
  • Experience in a defense contracting environment.
