Job description

Struers, the world’s leading manufacturer of material-testing equipment and consumables, is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to identify opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts and drive revenue growth across assigned territories. This position is part of our Inside Sales team and is based at our U.S. headquarters in Westlake, Ohio.

Our customers include Fortune 500 companies in the automotive, electronics, telecommunications, and aerospace industries.

Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative partners closely with the outside sales team to identify opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts and drive revenue growth across assigned territories. This role is responsible for promoting and selling equipment, accessories, consumables, and service contracts through proactive customer engagement and relationship management.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional who thrives in a collaborative team environment and is comfortable communicating with customers through multiple channels, primarily phone, email, virtual presentations, and occasional in-person interactions. Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills are essential for success in this role.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive sales of equipment, accessories, consumables, and service contracts within assigned territories primarily through phone and electronic communication
  • Proactively identify opportunities within existing and prospective customer accounts to increase sales growth and share of wallet
  • Maintain accurate customer contact records, activity logs, and sales forecasts within the CRM system (Pivotal)
  • Provide management with ongoing and accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates
  • Coordinate and support equipment demonstrations at the Westlake, Ohio facility
  • Collaborate with outside sales representatives on joint customer calls and support open territories when needed
  • Prepare customer quotations, correspondence, and related sales documentation accurately and timely
  • Coordinate sales and marketing activities with the corporate office and cross-functional teams
  • Deliver professional presentations and occasional product demonstrations to customers

Qualifications

  • Prior successful inside and/or outside sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
