To thrive as a Virtual Independent Contractor, you generally need strong self-management, time management, and specialized expertise in your service area, along with a relevant educational or professional background. Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as video conferencing platforms, project management software, and secure file-sharing systems is typically required. Excellent communication, adaptability, and self-motivation are standout soft skills for building client relationships and managing projects independently.
