Job Title: Manager, Omni Learning and Development
Division: Omni Learning and Development
Supervisor Title: Assistant Vice-President, Omni Learning and Development
Location: St. Petersburg, FL (National Operations Center - NOC)
FLSA Status: Exempt
The Manager, Omni Learning and Development partners closely with the Assistant Vice President of Omni L&D to design, develop, and execute high-impact product education, retail training, and commercial skills programs for field representatives and managers. This role is responsible for creating dynamic, agile training and service materials that complement SalonCentric's selling processes, strategic omni-channel initiatives, and organizational growth.
The successful candidate will embody the Omni L&D mission: serving and transforming the Omni Vision by cultivating a culture of continuous feedback, fostering an inclusive and inspiring learning environment, and leveraging innovative tools and modern educational resources to help our teams grow.
Key Responsibilities
Program Design, Development & Execution
  • Strategic Curriculum Design: Develop and implement comprehensive, strategic training programs and learning paths focused on skills development and product education for both new and existing employees across the Omni Commercial Field teams (inclusive of Street and Store channels).
  • End-to-End Content Creation: Collaborate as part of a high-performing team to design, build, and execute training and education materials. This includes virtual, e-learning, and in-person training curricula, service and sales directives, structured onboarding programs, robust facilitator/leader guides, and actionable business-building resources.
  • Coaching & Leadership Alignment: Partner with field leadership to cascade coaching and leadership tools, establishing a consistent methodology for talent development across the organization.

Operational Agility & Collaboration
  • Operational Flexibility (Core Requirement): Demonstrate high adaptability and a proactive approach by rotating, supporting, and executing across various operational workflows within the broader L&D ecosystem as business needs dictate. This includes stepping in to support diverse instructional design, virtual event production, operational logistics, and multi-channel program rollouts.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership: Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Human Resources, and Brand leadership. Align strategic learning goals with the Commercial Field Sales division's overarching objectives.
  • Field Connectivity: Participate actively in field functions and market visits to build direct, authentic connections with the teams being served, ensuring training remains highly relevant and impactful.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a passionate SalonCentric ambassador, embodying company philosophy, culture, and values in all internal and external communications and interactions.
  • Special Projects: Lead and contribute to special, high-priority projects under the strategic direction of the AVP of Omni Learning and Development.

Experience, Competencies and Requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Learning and Development, Human Resources, Management, Marketing, or a related field of study (or equivalent practical work experience) is required.
  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in Education, instructional design, Communications, and/or Corporate Training, preferable in a muti-unit retail or commercial field environment.
  • 2+ years of direct project management experience within a Retail, Sales, or Marketing environment is highly preferred.

  • Operational Agility & Multi-Tasking: Must possess absolute flexibility and willingness to pivot between various operational duties within the L&D department. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Advanced Interpersonal & Influence Skills: Demonstrated capability to influence, guide, and collaborate with staff, stakeholders, and leaders at all levels of the organization.
  • Exemplary Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional presentation, written, and verbal communication skills. Must have proven experience effectively facilitating both virtual and in-person training sessions to large, diverse audiences with high energy and engagement.
  • People Development: A proven track record in coaching, mentoring, and developing both individuals and teams to reach their full potential.
  • Content Design Proficiency: Hands-on experience developing modern training materials (digital learning modules, instructional videos, interactive booklets, and quick-reference guides), utilizing industry-standard design tools.
  • Technical Savvy: High proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) and familiarity with modern digital presentation, design, or e-learning authoring tools.
  • Industry Passion: Knowledge of and a genuine passion for the Professional Beauty Industry and its professional brands is highly preferred.

Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based upon business and market needs.
  • Ability to regularly operate standard office equipment (laptop, printer, etc.).
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods during workdays and training events.
  • Ability to lift and move training materials or package displays of up to 10 lbs.
