Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Senior Events Manager to plan and execute high-touch corporate events and experiences. This role is responsible for managing in-person and virtual events from concept through completion, partnering with clients, sponsors, speakers, venue teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure every detail is delivered with excellence. The ideal candidate is a polished events professional with strong project management skills, vendor management experience, and the ability to move seamlessly between behind-the-scenes coordination and front-facing attendee support. This position plays a key role in creating exceptional event experiences that support business objectives, strengthen relationships, and reflect the professionalism of the organization.

Work Location: This is a full time, fully remote position, with a preference for candidates residing in the U.S. Central Time zone.

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full event planning lifecycle for a variety of corporate events, including board meetings, executive retreats, incentive events, educational conferences, shareholder meetings, third-party client events, and virtual programs.
  • Develop and maintain detailed pre-event, onsite, and post-event plans, including rooming lists, event orders, audiovisual specifications, runs of show, event team schedules, and emergency management documentation.
  • Build and manage event registration websites, post-event surveys, onsite mobile applications, and related event technology tools.
  • Lead agenda and content development meetings, coordinate speaker pre-calls, and ensure event content is reviewed and aligned with learning objectives.
  • Provide onsite event support, managing logistics while serving as a professional host and point of contact for attendees, sponsors, speakers, vendors, and internal partners.
  • Provide in-studio and technical support for virtual events and webinars.
  • Source, negotiate with, and manage vendors, including destination management companies, transportation providers, hotels, venues, dcor partners, speakers, artists, and gifting vendors.
  • Collaborate with creative, marketing, and partnership teams to deliver pre-event, onsite, and post-event materials, sponsor deliverables, communications, and branded experiences.
  • Source gifts, swag, giveaways, and attendee materials that support the event experience and brand objectives.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, support ROI reporting, and prepare post-event summaries and recommendations.
  • Coordinate attendee travel, logistics, accommodations, and related support to ensure a smooth experience.
  • Support multiple events simultaneously while adjusting priorities and collaborating with team members in both lead planner and assistant planner roles.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience planning and executing events in a professional services, corporate, hospitality, insurance, financial services, or technology environment.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
  • Experience managing high-touch corporate events, executive meetings, conferences, retreats, client events, or similar professional experiences.
  • Experience with event technology and platforms such as Cvent, Guidebook, Zoom Webinars, registration tools, mobile event applications, and survey platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, vendors, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to work under strict deadlines and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Strong vendor management skills with the ability to source, evaluate, negotiate with, and oversee external partners.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, sponsors, speakers, venue teams, vendors, internal teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to transition seamlessly between logistical coordination and front-facing roles, including attendee support, hosting, and session moderation.
  • Self-sufficient, goal-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in a remote environment.
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes, simplify workflows, and enhance event execution.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 35%, with some trips lasting up to 7 days at a time.

Compensation Range: A starting base salary in the $80,000 to $100,000 range, depending on the candidates experience.

A wide salary range is posted for this position, and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the required state pay transparency law. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, certifications, and seniority as compared to others doing substantially similar work. There is no guarantee an offer will be at the top of the posted range based on the salary analysis.
