MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Unified Communications Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.  This is an onsite position. 

This role supports the design, implementation, and maintenance of mission-critical voice, video, and networking solutions within a secure environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform system firmware and hardware upgrades to deliver high-quality Unified Communications services to the workforce

  • Analyze program metrics, ensure schedule compliance with customer guidelines, and recommend corrective actions

  • Identify operational risks and present structured mitigation recommendations to management

  • Solve operational voice and video challenges and diagnose/resolve issues with vendor-specific video teleconferencing systems

  • Interface directly with cybersecurity teams to satisfy requirements, track POAMs, and maintain system certifications

  • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate local and remote voice/data communications equipment installations

  • Schedule and perform periodic system patching and maintenance to ensure RMF compliance

  • Provide converged Voice/VTC solutions in MS Windows LAN/WAN environments

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of Voice over IP (VoIP) or Video Teleconferencing (VTC) system implementation experience

  • Experience implementing multi-vendor VoIP and VTC products in RMF environments

  • Experience with DHCP and DNS configuration

  • Current CCNA certification

  • Current IAT level II certification, ex., Security+

  • Current IAT level III certification (SecurityX or CASP+), or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Experience designing and implementing Voice or Video Quality of Service (QoS) solutions and using core Cisco tools, ex., Communications Manager, Unity Connection, Emergency Responder, Prime, TMS, CMS, or ESX

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (M.A./M.S.) in a technical discipline

  • CCNP Collaboration certification

  • Possess ITIL Foundations Certification

  • Demonstrated experience working in a SAP environment as a Unified Communications Engineer

Clearance Requirements

  • Must have current or active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Must be eligible to obtain Special Access Program (SAP)

Physical Requirements

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.


The projected compensation range for this position is $128,000.00-$214,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
