If you're energized by bringing people together through well-executed events and enjoy balancing logistics, relationships, and creative problem-solving, we'd love to meet you.

As a Senior Events Specialist, you'll partner with a collaborative marketing team to plan and deliver a portfolio of firm-hosted events, conferences, sponsorships, and strategic marketing initiatives. Working alongside the events team, you'll help create exceptional experiences that strengthen our brand, support business development, and deliver value to our clients and communities.

This is a full-time, hybrid position (M-F, 8am-5pm, with some evening and weekend work to be expected) that may be based out of one of our following locations:

  • Portland, ME
  • Bangor, ME
  • Manchester, NH
  • Waltham, MA
  • Hamden, CT

There will be occasional travel (~10%) for select events each year, to be mutually agreed upon.

  • Support the full lifecycle of strategy, planning, and execution of third-party conferences and trade shows, as well as BerryDunn-hosted events.
  • Develop project briefs, timelines, budgets, and communication plans to align across the firm and support successful event execution.
  • Coordinate sponsorship and exhibitor participation including booth contracts, registrations, marketing deliverables, attendees, and communications.
  • Source and manage event-related goods and services, including venue, catering, A/V, etc.
  • Measure event outcomes, facilitate post-event debriefs, and share insights and recommendations to inform future planning.
  • Maintain accurate event- and sponsorship-related information across project management, marketing, and CRM systems; assist with analysis to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate and provide onsite support for firm hosted events and select conferences.
  • Serve as point of contact for industry association memberships and identify opportunities for leveraging marketing and event benefits.
  • Partner with marketing colleagues, business development professionals, and subject matter experts to deliver coordinated event experiences aligned with firm priorities.
  • Assist with other marketing projects, as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Hospitality, orrelatedfield.
  • 5-7 years of experience with events planning and execution.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
  • Ability to anticipate issues and proactively solve problems.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.
  • Strong MS Office 365 skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Copilot.
  • A collaborative, service-oriented approach and the ability to build strong relationships across teams and with external partners.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage many moving pieces while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and navigating shifting priorities.
  • Experience using CRM, marketing automation, virtual event, and project management platforms to support event planning and execution and successful collaboration.
  • Experience with budget tracking or financial stewardship.
  • Some lifting (up to 50 lbs.) likely.

The base salary range targeted for this role is $72,000 - $80,000. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on factors such as company and personal performance.
