Senior Information Technology Administrator Summary of Position

The Senior IT Administrator is responsible for the design, administration, security, maintenance, and optimization of the organization\'s enterprise IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, cloud services, operating systems, and end-user computing environments. This role ensures the availability, performance, integrity, and security of mission-critical systems while supporting business operations, strict federal regulatory requirements, and corporate security mitigation plans. The Senior IT Administrator also serves as a technical lead on infrastructure projects, provides advanced troubleshooting, and enforces strict access controls across all systems.

Location: Miami, FL (In-Office) with availability to travel as needed. Security Clearance: Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (Required). Citizenship/Export Control: Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR/EAR.

Core Duties & Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Build, configure, deploy, and maintain corporate workstations, laptops, and physical/virtual server infrastructure.
  • Identity & Access Control: Administer directory services, group policies, and identity management systems in strict compliance with corporate Electronic Communications Plans (ECP).
  • Environment Administration: Manage enterprise storage solutions, centralized backup/restore processes, and hybrid environments consisting of on-premises and cloud-based systems.
  • Lifecycle & Performance: Install, configure, and maintain enterprise operating systems (Windows and Linux) and server-based applications (databases, file services, print services, web services).
  • Vulnerability & Patch Management: Direct centralized patch management, software updates, vendor patches, and vulnerability remediations.
  • Security & Auditing: Oversee endpoint protection and centralized security management. Monitor, manage, and protect system audit logs, error logs, and system alerts to ensure network integrity.
  • Network Operations: Administer local and wide-area networks (LAN, WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi) and core domain services (DHCP, DNS, NTP).
  • Project Leadership: Serve as technical lead on infrastructure design, review system requirements for new applications, and map interdependencies in accordance with Technology Control Plans (TCP).
  • Compliance Support: Develop and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and operational metrics. Support security audits and ensure software licensing compliance.
  • Affiliated Operations Compliance: Manage IT asset tracking and vendor relationships in strict accordance with the company\'s Affiliated Operations Plan (AOP), ensuring clear boundaries between cleared and uncleared environments.
  • User Support: Provide advanced escalations (Tier 2/3) to resolve end-user service requests.
Education & Experience Required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Professional Status: Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident) due to the handling of export-controlled technical data (ITAR/EAR).
  • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Core Experience: Minimum 4 years’ experience administering enterprise-level server operating systems (Windows and Linux).
  • Technical Depth: Minimum 3 years’ experience managing enterprise storage network environments and virtual hypervisors.
  • Cloud & Network: Hands-on experience with secure cloud technologies (SaaS, IaaS), core enterprise networking components (VPN, IPSEC, firewalls), and common client applications.
  • Framework Familiarity: Experience working within regulated environments subject to federal security standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171, CMMC, or FedRAMP).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Enterprise-level technical certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Virtualization, or Networking).
