Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

- Active Virginia or Compact License
- Previous experience in Level II Trauma center
- Experience with trauma, neuro, ortho spine, general surgery, robotics, and eyes/ENT surgeries
Description:
We are seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse with experience in various surgical procedures.
The schedule is Monday and Tuesday from 0630 to 1900 and Thursday and Friday from 0630 to 1500.
Call is required for 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks for 8 hours each.
Candidates should have experience in a Level II Trauma center.
The ideal applicant should have experience in trauma, neuro, ortho spine, general surgery, robotics, and eyes/ENT.
EPIC experience is required, specifically with OP TIME.
The flu vaccine is mandatory during the flu season.
Candidates requesting a religious or medical exemption for the flu vaccine must provide appropriate documentation.
COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exceptions for medical or religious reasons.
The facility promotes a smoke and nicotine-free workplace.
Travelers are permitted to submit for only one job ID at a time.
Basic perioperative and surgical skills are necessary.
Candidates must be able to work with various surgical teams and support staff.
Expect to work some holidays and have minimal requests for time off.
This position requires a strong ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and be able to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Participating in various surgical procedures, such as laparoscopic, general surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries, is essential.
Candidates must be adaptable and willing to float to main operating room areas as needed.
A commitment to high standards of patient care and safety is crucial.
