VIP HOST
POSITION SUMMARY:
The VIP Host generates revenue through the development and servicing of relationships with existing and potential target guests. VIP Hosts are responsible for managing and leading the oversight of VIP clientele, develop private event contacts, concierge, celebrity and guests of international renown.
The VIP Host facilitates all VIP guest reservation requests promptly and without error, greets all VIP guests upon arrivals, maintains high level of visibility throughout the venue, and builds guest loyalty by exceeding all expectations in service and dependability. The VIP Host will report to all scheduled shifts on time and collaborate with all departments to ensure total guest satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Attract new VIPs to the venue
  • Greet and interact with clients at the venue to ensure the best guest experience.
  • Enter all VIP table reservations into VIP table booking spreadsheet, including: the guest's full name, cell number, and email address.
  • Complete assigned data collection, marketing and social media tasks per management's request.
  • Assist in checking in VIPs at events.
  • Maintain and actively increase VIP database.
  • Actively solicit cocktail party, table and bottle sales.
  • Inform guests about any upcoming events.
  • Professionally represent the venue.
  • Work with the General Manager and marketing department on strategies and initiatives.
  • Communicate with management and update them on the dynamics of the reservations, delays, and cancellations.
  • Keep the working environment clean, tidy, and presentable.
  • Ensure that all controls with respect to alcohol consumption are always adhered to (e.g., notifying management of intoxicated guests).
  • Maintain the safety and security of the restaurant/bar premises as a priority.

GUEST RELATIONS:
  • Observe guests during their night, ensuring their satisfaction with their experience; immediately alert management or server should any dissatisfaction arise amongst the guests in any part of the venue.
  • Accompany VIPs within the district when necessary
  • โ Know and acknowledge all VIPs by name.
  • Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, attentive, detailed, friendly and courteous service.
  • Proactively visit with and interact with restaurant guests; build loyalty and face/name recognition.
  • Positively handle guest requests and accept feedback with grace and humility
  • Understand the market and surrounding areas (i.e. restaurants, businesses, hotels)
  • Identify guests' preferences and their personal information: drink choice, table position, telephone number, email address, web address, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • โ  โ A minimum of 3-5years of experience in high volume elevated dining restaurant in a metropolitan market
    โ€ข โ  โ Experienced with online booking platforms such as OpenTable, Seven Rooms.
    โ€ข โ  โ Must be detail oriented and possess effective communication and written skills.
    โ€ข โ  โ Must have computer knowledge (Excel, Windows, etc.)
    โ€ข โ  โ Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance. Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
    โ€ข โ  โ Effective communication, written and interpersonal skills.
    โ€ข โ  โ Time management skills.
    โ€ข โ  โ Maintain confidentiality of company and VIP information
