JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a polished, personable, and highly attentive Host to join our private lounge and restaurant team. As the first and last point of contact for our guests, the Host sets the tone for an exceptional experience through genuine hospitality, discretion, and attention to detail.


The ideal candidate is confident, warm, well-presented, and comfortable working in an elevated environment where personalized service and professionalism are essential. This position requires someone who can anticipate guest needs, manage the flow of the room seamlessly, and create a welcoming atmosphere for members and their guests. ย ย 


This is a full-time seasonal position focused on fostering positive and professional interactions with guests throughout all home games and select private events for the 2026 - 2027 Utah Jazz, Utah Mammoth, and Delta Center event season. Hosts will ensure that every guest experience reflects the highest standards of hospitality. Assignments will be determined by the host's direct supervisor and may vary from event to event. Scheduled hours may fluctuate based on the game calendar and the specific location assigned. MUST BE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER TO APPLY, $21 PER HOURย 


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Please note: The Host role includes serving food, beverages, and alcohol.
  • Warmly greet members and guests upon arrival and provide a gracious, personalized welcome.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements, guest lists, and waitlists with accuracy and discretion.
  • Escort guests to their tables or lounge areas and ensure they are comfortable upon arrival.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of the room, anticipating guest needs and communicating effectively with the service team.
  • Coordinate closely with servers, bartenders, management, and other team members to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Handle guest requests, questions, and special occasions with professionalism and genuine hospitality.
  • Recognize returning members and VIP guests and provide personalized service whenever possible.
  • Maintain an elevated, polished appearance and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Assist with phone calls, reservations, inquiries, and other front-of-house administrative responsibilities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming host stand and entrance area.
  • Protect guest privacy and maintain the highest level of discretion regarding members, guests, and their experiences.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and involve management when appropriate.
  • Support the overall team during busy service periods and assist wherever needed.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, and major holidays.
  • Required to work all 84 Utah Jazz/Utah Mammoth home games, including all playoff games, as well as additional catered functions and special events scheduled outside of game days.
  • Minimum 3 years fine dining/event experience.
  • Current food handlers permit and alcohol certification required.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • This person must be able to communicate and express themselves both written and verbally.
  • This person must be able to observe, inspect, estimate, and assess.
  • This person must be able to sit, stand, bend, walk, and climb stairs for long periods of time.
  • This person must be able to lift 30 lbs. overhead.
