Overview
Host - Restaurant
A Host is the first point of contact for guests and is responsible for presenting exceptional customer service to ensure the guests' first impression of the restaurant is a positive one.
Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a genuine smile and positive attitude
  • Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and respond promptly to any inquiries or concerns
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu, daily specials, and restaurant promotions to provide accurate information to guests
  • Handle guest complaints or issues professionally or bring them to the manager when necessary
  • Assist with running food, delivering and/or refilling guests' drinks
  • Guide guests to their tables and present them with menus
  • Take to-go orders over the phone and in person
  • Engage with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service
  • Refill drinks and clear plates as needed during guest's dining experience
  • Provide great customer service
  • Provide highchairs and other requested items to the guest
  • Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements

Qualifications
  • 1 year of restaurant experience preferred
  • Organizational skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Positive attitude
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Ability to multitask
  • Availability on weekdays, weekends, nights, mornings, and holidays
  • Must be able to read and write in English and handle math calculations
