Job description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Director of Product Management to lead a key area of our Venue Product organization and help shape Resy's suite of B2B products for venue partners.
Our Venue products provide the tools that restaurants, wineries, and other hospitality venues rely on to manage their day-to-day operations and deliver exceptional hospitality. Through Resy OS, venue operators can configure user permissions and service settings, manage reservations and tables, understand their guests, and access real-time data and insights-all while delivering a seamless guest experience.
As a Director of Product Management, you will define and drive product vision and strategy across multiple squads and roadmaps. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business leaders to translate customer needs, market opportunities, and company objectives into clear priorities and actionable plans.
You will play a critical role in connecting workstreams across the Venue Product organization, aligning teams around shared outcomes, and ensuring we invest in the opportunities that deliver the greatest value for our venue partners and the business. You will also help strengthen our product culture, develop product talent, and evolve how the team operates as we scale.
This role reports directly to Resy's VP of Product Management.
Please note that this is a pipeline requisition to gather talent for future opportunities as a Product Director at Resy and Amex.
Responsibilities
  • Set product vision and strategy: Define a compelling long-term vision for your area of Venue Product and translate it into clear strategies, investment priorities, and roadmaps.
  • Represent the voice of our venue partners: Build a deep understanding of venue operators, their workflows, and evolving needs through direct customer engagement, research, data, and partnership with customer-facing teams.
  • Understand the market: Develop a strong perspective on the hospitality technology landscape, emerging customer needs, and competitive trends, using those insights to identify opportunities and inform product strategy.
  • Own product outcomes: Define and track success metrics across customer value, adoption, retention, growth, and operational performance, using insights to continuously refine product strategy and investment decisions.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment: Partner with Product, Engineering, Design, and Business leaders to align priorities, connect roadmaps, identify dependencies, and ensure teams are working toward shared outcomes.
  • Enable high-quality execution: Establish clear ways of working across teams, proactively address dependencies, capacity constraints, and risks, and continuously improve how we deliver high-quality products at scale.
  • Partner on risk, compliance, and privacy: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure product enhancements meet applicable compliance, privacy, and risk standards.
  • Develop product talent and culture: Mentor and support Product Managers, strengthen product thinking and practices across the organization, and contribute to a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications
This role is ideal for an experienced product leader who is energized by B2B, SaaS, or marketplace products and enjoys solving complex problems at the intersection of customer needs, technology, and business strategy.
You are a collaborative and strategic leader who can move comfortably between setting direction and enabling execution. You bring clarity to ambiguity, build alignment across diverse stakeholders, and use data and customer insights to make thoughtful product decisions.
You'll join a dynamic Product organization that values iteration, collaboration, curiosity, and data-informed decision-making-all in pursuit of our mission to connect diners with exceptional experiences and help our venue partners deliver world-class hospitality.
This is a hybrid role based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product management experience, including experience leading complex products, initiatives, or product areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product vision and strategy and translate business objectives, customer needs, and market insights into clear priorities and roadmaps.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.
  • Strong product judgment and a passion for technology, customer experience, and building products that solve meaningful problems.
  • Experience partnering closely with Engineering, Design, and UX Research, with a strong understanding of technical concepts, user experience, and product development.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to communicate complex product strategy clearly and persuasively to senior executives and technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative and inclusive leadership style that values diverse perspectives, challenges assumptions, and builds alignment across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, navigate ambiguity and change, and bring structure to complex problems.
  • Creative and strategic problem-solving skills, including the ability to operate effectively in "white space" and develop solutions to new or evolving customer needs.
  • Thoughtful approach to product strategy, with an understanding of how to identify, assess, and navigate risk.
  • Proven track record of mentoring Product Managers and developing product talent.
  • A love of restaurants, dining, and hospitality-and an interest in helping the industry continue to thrive-is a plus.
