About this position

Overview: Hartford Athletic is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Group Sales who is a self‑motivated, B2B‑focused sales professional driven by building long‑term relationships with businesses across Greater Hartford. The position requires someone who can prospect into companies, navigate organizational structures to find the right buyer, and sell group, premium, and hospitality experiences that turn first‑time clients into accounts that come back year after year.

Responsibilities
  • Actively sell Group Packages, VIP Suites, Corner Kick Suites, Goal Zone buyouts, and other hospitality experiences to businesses through cold calls, emails, social selling, and networking events.
  • Build and manage a self‑sourced pipeline of corporate prospects and accounts across Greater Hartford, including inbound inquiries, navigating organizational structures to identify and engage the right decision‑makers.
  • Achieve and exceed individual revenue and prospecting goals.
  • Steward client accounts from initial sale through event execution and renewal, building multi‑game and multi‑season relationships.
  • Represent Hartford Athletic at networking and community events, promoting group and hospitality sales within the Greater Hartford business community.
  • Attend all scheduled Hartford Athletic matches and Trinity Health Stadium ticketed events, serving as a key member of the Front Office.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Brings 2+ years of B2B or group sales experience, ideally within professional or collegiate sports, but not a requirement to apply.
  • Has demonstrated the ability to navigate organizational structures and build relationships with multiple stakeholders within a single account.
  • Is a confident communicator who can adjust their approach across a wide range of contacts, from front‑desk staff to senior executives.
  • Is self‑directed and comfortable building a pipeline from the ground up.
  • Exhibits patience and persistence through longer B2B sales cycles.
Requirements
  • Experience using a CRM to manage a sales pipeline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Conversational and written Spanish proficiency preferred.
