Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Machine Operator for a vinyl sign and graphic manufacturer in Placentia, CA. This is a temp-to-hire day shift position paying $19.50/hr, with overtime available daily and weekend availability required. In this role, you will operate casting machines to produce vinyl films and set up, clean, and monitor wet-end equipment including coating heads, pumps, and filters. This is a long-term placement opportunity with a manufacturer that produces commercial vinyl films and graphics.
Pay: $19.50/hr
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6AM-2:30PM; must be flexible with weekend availability
Location: Placentia, CA

Responsibilities
  • Set up mixers, pump, tote, hose, liner, and adhesive components according to work order requirements before each production run.
  • Identify coating defects on vinyl film and take corrective action to eliminate them.
  • Monitor process and equipment conditions throughout production and adjust settings as needed.
  • Handle hazardous waste following facility procedures and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Follow grooming standards required for the production environment, including no facial hair.

Minimum Requirements
  • 6+ months of machine operator or general labor experience in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience operating coating, laminating, or casting machinery.
  • Familiarity with wet-end equipment such as coating heads, pumps, or filtration systems.
  • Experience identifying and correcting product defects during a production run.
  • Background in plastics, films, adhesives, or chemical manufacturing.
  • Experience reading and following work orders in a production setting.
  • Ability to tolerate strong industrial odors produced during the vinyl manufacturing process.
