We are seeking a hands-on Cutting Room Manager to lead day-shift cutting operations in a high-volume knit apparel manufacturing facility. This is a floor-focused leadership roleโ€”you will be on the production floor daily, leading the team, solving problems in real time, and running production using automated spreading and cutting equipment.

Key Responsibilities (On the Floor)

  • Lead cutting room operations directly on the production floor
  • Operate and oversee automated cutting and spreading systems (Gerber, Lectra, or similar)
  • Execute daily cutting plans to support sewing and shipping schedules
  • Monitor and improve fabric utilization, marker efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Manage fabric relaxation, shade control, and lot integrity
  • Troubleshoot equipment, quality, and workflow issues as they happen
  • Train, coach, and hold cutting room operators and leads accountable
  • Maintain safety, housekeeping, and equipment standards
  • Communicate clearly with Production, Planning, QA, and Warehouse teams

Requirements:


  • 5+ years of knit apparel cutting room experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with Gerber, Lectra, or similar automated cutting and spreading equipment
  • Proven leadership in a high-volume production environment
  • Solid understanding of knit fabrics (jersey, fleece, rib, performance knits)
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
  • Day-shift availability
  • Willing to relocate for the right opportunity
  • Strong floor leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred

  • Experience in large-scale or vertically integrated apparel operations
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement background
