Job description

Since 1933, Vine Line Produce has been delivering fresh fruits and vegetables to our valued partners throughout the Midwest. Our goal is to collaborate and build solid relations in the produce industry, allowing us to understand our partners needs and services, so that we can support them in all things produce. Vine Line continues to be an organization built on generations of hard working, ethical, and humble families who are dedicated to building relationships by taking care of our customers. We look forward to adding to our team and continuing our growth.

Compensation:

  • Flat Rate of $225 a day. $35 per additional stop
    • Base Rate: 24-30 hours a week
      • Scheduled annual increases
    • Additional Pay Incentives: Stop bonus
  • Paid via direct deposit weekly

Home Time, Route & Schedule:

  • Home Time: Home Daily
  • Schedule: Sunday Night, Monday Night, Wednesday Night, Thursday Night
  • Shift: Start Time: 11:00pm. Workday is typically 6 - 6.5 hours per day.
    • Holiday work will be required (Everyone is off Thanksgiving & Christmas)
  • Route: Shuttle from Comstock Park, MI to Gaylord, MI.
    • Must be flexible with route changes
    • Routes can have 1-2 Stops per day
    • Palletized freight, Mostly drop and hook with occasional driver unload.
  • Level of Touch: unload pallets using manual pallet jack; some pallet breakdown and hand unload
    • Must be able to use a manual pallet jack / occasional hand unload

Equipment:

  • All trucks are late models: never older than 5-years as new inventory is always added
  • Automatic
  • Must be able to use a manual pallet jack / occasional hand unload

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have CDL A license
  • Must have 6 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
  • Drivers cannot have more than 6-points on their driving record at one time
  • Air-brakes endorsements required 
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations 
  • Must be able to pass a required pre-employment drug screen 
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
  • Hiring Radius: Drivers must live within 40 miles of Comstock Park, MI or be willing to relocate for this position
