Position Highlights This position supports the implementation, coordination, and reporting of externally funded projects at the University of Arizona Center for Urban Smart Agriculture. Detailed instruction is provided and work is reviewed for accuracy.
This position helps to ensure that grant objectives, timelines, and deliverables are met, and to support research, education, and community outreach initiatives focused on urban agriculture, smart farming technologies, and resilient food production systems. The Program Coordinator collaborates with the Center Director, Manager, faculty, and staff to support the Center's mission and associated grant execution and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities - Under thesupervision of the Director, assist with coordinating day-to-day activities forone or more grant-funded projects, ensuring alignment with approved scopes ofwork, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist andsupport in planning and implementation of grant-funded workshops, trainings,demonstrations, field days, and outreach events.
- May serve asthe main point of contact for coordination among principal investigators,project staff, industry partners, and community stakeholders.
- Undersupervision, assist with tracking project milestones, activities, and outcomesto document progress and grant reporting.
- Help tocollect, organize, and summarize qualitative and quantitative data forevaluation, impact assessment, and funding reports.
- Maintainaccurate project documentation and records in compliance with sponsor andUniversity requirements.
- Undersupervision, assist with efforts to secure competitive funds, includinggrant-writing, budgeting, and reporting with assistance and input from theCenter faculty and staff.
- Participatein team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of grant-fundedprogramming.
- Creativelyapply own knowledge, skills, and experience to establish contacts, professionalrelationship and build collaborations with other agencies and organization tofurther the mission of the Center locally and nationally in collaboration withthe faculty and other staff.
- Assist withbudget monitoring, purchasing, invoicing, reimbursements, and financialtracking in coordination with Center and administrative staff.
- Supportdevelopment of grant-related materials, including reports, presentations,outreach products, and communications.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellentcommunication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of ateam.
- Ability tocommunicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
- Knowledge ofarid and semi-arid agriculture production.
- Ability tocoordinate programs or projects, preferably in a grant-funded, academic,nonprofit, or government setting.
- Goodorganizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor'sdegree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in agriculture, environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
- Experience working on externally funded grants, with experience in data collection, program evaluation, or reporting to funders.
- Previous work with urban agriculture, smart agriculture technologies, food production systems, sustainability, or Extension programs.
