Job Description
VG Systems, LLC is seeking a talented Videographer to provide professional video production and editing support for a wide range of mission-critical activities. This role is responsible for capturing high-quality video content and producing polished final products in support of events, documentation, and operational requirements. The position requires creativity, technical expertise, and the ability to operate in dynamic environments.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform professional video capture using a variety of HD video cameras and related equipment, including image-stabilizing gimbals, specialized lighting, and electronic timing/triggering devices.
  • Develop original video concepts using inventive and imaginative techniques to support a variety of assignments.
  • Capture video for major events and ceremonies.
  • Document facility operations and construction progress for documentary purposes.
  • Record hardware installation and equipment transportation activities.
  • Support artistic and technical design layouts requiring precise equipment settings.
  • Capture flight tests and test range activities as required.
  • Perform video editing by ingesting raw footage from multiple sources and producing a variety of high-quality finished video products.
  • Utilize specialized video editing software and hardware to create original video concepts and designs.
  • Apply imaginative techniques to enhance storytelling and visual impact.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure all deliverables meet project and organizational requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to videography and editing workflows.
  • Ensure SOPs remain current and accurately reflect tools, processes, and production standards.
  • Document processes and provide guidance to ensure consistency and compliance.

Requirements:
  • Active Top Secret security clearance is required (must have at time of hire).
  • Proficiency in operating professional video equipment, including HD cameras, lighting systems, and stabilization tools.
  • Experience with video editing, including ingesting footage from multiple sources and producing polished deliverables.
  • Strong understanding of video production techniques, composition, and lighting.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop original concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in fast-paced or dynamic environments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Education/Experience:
  • Minimum: Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Photography, Videography, or a related arts discipline with 1 year of experience providing creative photography or videography support on a DoD or commercial contract.
  • Substitution 1: Associate's degree in Photography, Videography, or a related arts discipline with 3 years of relevant experience providing creative photography or videography support.
  • Substitution 2: High School diploma with 5 years of relevant experience in photography/videography providing creative support.
