  • Plan and execute hands-on functional, regression, integration, and solutions testing for USP and VS/Acuity releases
  • Write andmaintaintest plans and test cases covering new features, failure scenarios, upgrades, and customer-representative configurations
  • Design, build, andmaintainsolutions test rigs that replicate real-world surveillance deployments, including VMS integrations, camera simulation, and multi-node cluster configurations
  • Perform security and vulnerability testing, including validating fixes for scan findings and hardening requirements common in enterprise and government deployments
  • Execute VMware certification and compatibility testing (vSphere/ESXiqualification, live migration, HA/failover validation)
  • Manage the QA lab environment, including rig assignments, scheduling, hardware inventory, andcomponentreplacements (drives, NICs, controllers, nodes)
  • Assign and coordinate test tasks across the QA team, track execution progress, and provide clear release-readiness and quality status updates
  • Reproduce and investigate customer-reported issues and escalations spanning virtualization, storage, networking, and operating systems
  • Contribute to product and support documentation, including test procedures, known-issue write-ups, and field-facing technical content
  • Develop and deliver training on products, test procedures, and lab practices for QA team members and cross-functional partners
  • Work closely with development, support, and field teams to drive issues to resolution
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of QA engineering experience, including time in a senior or lead capacity
  • Strong hands-on manual testing background with enterprise software, storage, virtualization, or infrastructure platforms
  • Experience building and managing physical test environments — server hardware setup, cabling,componentreplacement, and lablogistics
  • Solid working knowledge of VMware environments (vSphere,ESXi,vMotion, HA/DRS) and hyperconverged infrastructure concepts
  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (VLANs, bonding/teaming, iSCSI, multicast) and storage concepts (RAID, erasure coding, block/file storage)
  • Experience writing clear, thorough test plans and test cases, and documenting results for engineering and executive audiences
  • Experience with security/vulnerability testing and remediation validation (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, or similar scan tooling)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate work across a team — assigning tasks, tracking progress, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Strong communicationskills and the ability to work across engineering, support, and customer-facing teams
Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with video surveillance products or VMS platforms (Milestone, Genetec, Avigilon, or similar)
  • Experience testing hyperconverged or clustered systems, including node failure, fencing, and live-migration scenarios
  • Familiarity with virtualization certification programs (VMware Ready, hardware compatibility qualification)
  • Test automation or scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell) to supplement manual test execution
  • Experience supporting enterprise customer escalations, including issue reproduction and root-cause investigation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and defect tracking tools (Jira or similar)
