This position serves as the primary production leader for approximately 30 to 50 UH-produced streaming events annually, covering non-selected games across a wide
range of sports. You will work in close coordination with HNN's Sports Program Director and other key HNN Leaders, and in direct partnership with the UH Athletics
Director of Digital Media, others from the UH Athletics external team, UH students, and UH academic programs.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
What You'll Do:
Production Leadership:
• Serve as Producer/Director for all UH student-produced live streaming events
• Direct multi-camera live productions from setup through final transmission
• Manage game-day workflows, including switching, editing, clipping, and graphics
• Ensure all productions meet Mountain West & Big West Conference technical standards and requirements
• Oversee CGI, lower thirds, scorebugs, and on-screen graphics execution
• Coordinate announcing, replay, and highlight clipping workflows
• Develop and produce commercials and short- and long-form video assets tailored for UH Athletics streaming productions and their associated digital platforms.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Personnel and Game Day Management:
• Recruit, schedule, and manage game-day personnel, including casual hires, student hires, and independent contractors
• Assign and supervise crew roles on event days
• Serve as the primary point of contact for game-day production logistics, Student Mentorship, and Education
• Coach and mentor UH students in real-world, game-day production skills, including camera operation, directing, switching, graphics, and multi-platform distribution
• Guide student-led productions from pre-production planning through post-game distribution
• Plug students into HNN's established mentoring frameworks and production workflows
• Collaborate with UH's School of Communications and College of Social Sciences on curriculum, training programs, and educational initiatives
• Support internship, job-shadowing, and hands-on learning opportunities for UH students and student-athletes
Coordination and Compliance:
• Coordinate closely with HNN's Sports Program Director on scheduling, technical standards, and production consistency
• Ensure all streams meet FCC, Mountain West, Big West, and UH Athletics requirements
• Maintain production logs, event reports, and workflow documentation

Preferred:
• Experience in collegiate or similar sports broadcast production
• Familiarity with NCAA broadcast standards
• Background in student media, academic broadcasting, or mentorship programs
