Job description

Join Our Founding Team: Design How AI Video Games are Created and Played!

We're an ambitious new game studio on a mission to revolutionize how games are made by creating an AI Game Generator that transforms players' lives into playable, personalized adventures. We envision a game within a game, where the user enjoys building the game as much as they enjoy playing it. As our lead UI/UX Video Game Designer, you will craft the end-to-end experience that makes game creation immersive, intuitive, and fun. You will design how players work with the AI to guide the game's style and refine its components, all while giving players the freedom to unleash their creativity.

You can learn more about DreamForge and join our waitlist at https://www.playdreamforge.com

What You'll Do:

  • Design and iterate the end-to-end UI/UX flow for AI-assisted game creation
  • Determine how players will interact with Forge, the character that helps them build their Dreams
  • Create a playful and engaging game-within-a-game experience, ensuring the creation process is as enjoyable as the game itself
  • Balance structure and freedom: guide users effectively through prompts so they don't feel stuck, without limiting their creative potential
  • Develop user flows and high-fidelity prototypes that can be implemented in Unity
  • Collaborate with engineers, AI specialists, and game designers to bring the experience to life
  • Conduct usability testing, synthesize feedback, and refine designs to optimize the player experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating UI/UX work in video games
  • Practical experience collaborating with teams developing within Unity
  • Experience with both mobile and PC game design
  • Understanding of player psychology, engagement loops, and what makes design feel game-like
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to articulate design choices clearly
  • Comfortable working in a remote, global team environment, both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience designing conversational or AI-driven interfaces is a plus

Benefits:

  • Equity ownership. Share in the upside of what we are building together
  • Competitive salary and a full-time position
  • Flexible location and fully-remote work environment
  • The opportunity to join a very early stage company and leave your mark on something truly unique
