ROLE SUMMARY: As a Videography Intern at BJU Press, the ideal candidate will play a supporting role on the Video Content team by assisting on the video elements of BJU Press products which may include video recording, audio recording, editing, and on-location shoots. The ideal candidate must be a current or upcoming BJU Student.

ABOUT THE TEAM: The Video Content team seeks to support the mission of BJU Press by creating compelling educational audio and video content that enhances BJU Press materials.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:ย 

  • Operate studio equipment and manages various technical aspects of production
  • Serve as the videographer and editor for special segments
  • Participate in pre-production tasks, including brainstorming and planning
  • Handle production tasks such as lighting and filming
  • Involve in post-production tasks like video editing, audio mixing, and color correction
  • Handle data entry and file management for video content
  • Support the Videography Supervisor with various projects and tasks as needed
  • Fulfil acting roles as interest, workloads, casting fit, and opportunity align

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:

  • Proficiency in video capture and editing is required; a background in cinema is a plus, though not essential
  • Some experience in recording, audio work, and studio production is highly desirable
  • Understanding of video production processes and techniques
  • Familiarity with professional video equipment and software
  • Ability to multi-task effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Outline required role skills, experience, & education. Hard skills.):
  • High school graduate or GED, currently taking college classes in film production, television, video editing, or broadcasting
  • No prior experience necessary
