Kitchen Supervisor - Taco Reho
Job Description
Summary of Position:
Do you enjoy cooking and like the sound of leading a team of passionate taco enthusiasts to achieve ultimate success? Are you the kind of person who enjoys good food, good music, good company and good vibes? If so, then the Kitchen Supervisor role at Taco Reho could be right up your alley! We're looking for a culinary-obsessed professional with a desire to learn, grow, and teach. Taco Reho's Kitchen Supervisor is the leader in our kitchen, responsible for fueling food passion to our staff and to every single guest, on every single order. The Kitchen Supervisor will collaborate with the GM and oversee daily kitchen operations as they are responsible for supervising the team, the products, and the service in the best interest of the business. The Kitchen Supervisor will uphold standards of quality and supervise all kitchen systems while staying true to the Taco Reho image & brand - must Enjoy the Ride!
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Execute and uphold Taco Reho food quality, preparation, and service standards with consistency and accountability
  • Partner with the GM to oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervision, scheduling, and task delegation
  • Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, coach, and develop kitchen team members to reach their full potential
  • Lead training on food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, techniques, and safe equipment operation
  • Monitor food costs using MarginEdge and Declining Budget tools; control portioning and minimize waste
  • Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes and brand standards
  • Conduct daily line checks and enforce thorough station checkouts before staff clock-out
  • Maintain proper food holding, storage, and refrigeration temperatures
  • Monitor labor percentages and adjust staffing levels to meet business needs
  • Coordinate with the Food Truck team and GM to ensure the truck is stocked, clean, and operational; oversee food truck culinary readiness by setting bars and ensuring we are ready to meet all gig needs
  • Create and manage prep lists while enforcing food safety and sanitation standards
  • Maintain cleaning schedules and oversee kitchen equipment and facility upkeep
  • Assist with inventories, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships
  • Complete required reports, forms, and schedules accurately and on time
  • Collaborate on menu specials and clearly communicate 86'd items to the team
  • Support FOH opening, mid, and closing supervisor procedures as needed
  • Step in where needed to support the team and meet business demands
  • Foster a positive, motivating, and solution-oriented environment at all times
  • Act as a brand ambassador, making decisions in the best interest of the company

Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of fast-paced kitchen experience with a culinary-trained background preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Must be ServSafe certified
  • Hospitality-driven mindset with a passion for culinary excellence
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • MacGyver-like problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Flexibility in schedule to assume responsibilities as needed and ability to maintain a work/life balance
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
