VP / Director of Software Engineering
Description: As the VP of Software Engineering you will support the leadership team providing strategic vision and direction for a dynamic senior level software team. Working lock step with the CTO you will be comfortable understanding architecture, project implementation, project management and the details needed to balance the tech stack with business objectives.

Role: Key factors for this position are not only leadership, but also being a problem solver, continuous learner, and visionary in the engineering space. Theidealcandidate will have experience:
  • Providing direction and support for engineering teams from a technical and tactical perspective
  • Managing dynamic coders ensuring quality and efficient delivery in a fast-paced development environment
  • Being a liaison between senior level business units and engineering
  • Understanding and implementing relevant compliance standards

Requirements:
  • 4+ yrs Management / leadership of software development teams
  • 4+ yrs Architectural experience (i.e. work as a visionary)
  • 2+ yrs previous experience in a technical development role (although this role will not be a coding role)

Recommended but not required:
  • Experience with Compliance and Payments a plus
  • Experience with billion-dollar payment systems
  • Experience with scaling a hypergrowth company
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Open Source technologies (i.e. JAVA, REST, Linux)
