Job description

The VP (Vice President), Product & Design will lead product experience and roadmap development across the NFL's portfolio of digital products and platforms, translating vision and strategy into scalable execution. As a key member of the Global Digital Fan Engagement leadership team, this executive will lead Product and Design functions responsible for creating world-class fan experiences across web, mobile, connected television (CTV), identity, subscription, and viewing platforms.

Working in close partnership with Strategy & Growth, Technology, Content, Marketing, Business Operations, and other key departments across the NFL, the VP, Product & Design will translate business priorities into product roadmaps and deliver experiences that deepen fan engagement, improve experience quality, and support the NFL's long-term strategic priorities.

This role requires an experienced and dynamic product executive capable of leading organizational evolution, establishing product management excellence, and building a high-performing team within a complex and highly visible media ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Product Vision & Roadmap Leadership

  • Own the product roadmap for the NFL's fan-facing product portfolio across web, app, CTV, identity, and subscription experiences
  • Partner with Strategy & Growth to translate enterprise priorities and agreed business objectives into product roadmap decisions, prioritization, sequencing, and execution plans
  • Lead short-term, seasonal, and multi-year product roadmap planning and sequencing, aligned to the broader long-range business plan and agreed investment priorities
  • Establish product management practices that improve prioritization, execution quality, and organizational alignment

Product Delivery & Performance

  • Hold end-to-end accountability for product roadmap execution, sequencing, delivery excellence, experience quality, product operating cadence, and post-launch value optimization across the digital portfolio
  • Translate agreed strategic priorities into delivered product outcomes that support business goals
  • Partner with Strategy & Growth to define KPI frameworks, measurement processes, and post-launch evaluation methodologies
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through experimentation, learning, and iteration

Fan Experience & Design Leadership

  • Lead the Product and Design organizations responsible for creating engaging and intuitive fan experiences
  • Establish experience standards and design principles across content discovery, viewing, personalization, subscription, and engagement journeys
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all fan-facing experiences

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Technology to align product roadmaps with technical feasibility, platform architecture, capacity management, and release planning
  • Partner with Strategy & Growth to translate agreed business objectives, priority fan segments, value propositions, and desired outcomes into product experiences
  • Partner with Content and Marketing to ensure product experiences, content value, and marketing execution reinforce the broader strategy
  • Build strong executive partnerships that improve decision making and organizational coordination
  • Communicate tradeoffs, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to senior leadership

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Product and Design organization
  • Build team capabilities through coaching, succession planning, and talent development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and product excellence

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of product management experience, including leadership roles in digital media, streaming, sports, technology, or subscription-based businesses
  • Experience leading product organizations responsible for large-scale consumer digital platforms
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex product roadmaps that drive measurable business outcomes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams within highly matrixed environments
  • Strong understanding of digital consumer experiences, content ecosystems, subscription products, and engagement platforms
  • Experience leading Product, UX/UI, Design, or adjacent digital experience functions

Leadership Profile:

  • Proven track record collaboratively shaping and delivering product roadmaps that drive business outcomes across large-scale consumer digital platforms
  • Demonstrated success delivering product roadmaps that support acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization objectives within DTC or subscription-led businesses
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to collaborate effectively with Strategy leaders on revenue, customer value, and growth opportunities
  • Strong experience operating in complex organizations and aligning cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet both business objectives and fan needs
  • Executive communicator capable of translating priorities, risks, tradeoffs, and performance into clear narratives tied to business goals
  • Strong product judgment, creative instincts, and operational discipline, with a passion for delivering exceptional consumer experiences

Travel:

This position will require travel to key NFL meetings and events, including occasional nights and weekends, especially during the NFL season.

Terms/Expected Hours of Work:

NFL employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week in the office.
