Sales Vice President (Oil & Gas)

Location: Houston, Dallas

Qualification: BE + MBA from reputed institute

Experience: 15-20 Years

Job Description & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing our key customers in the Oil & Gas vertical based across market units
  • Drive growth in these accounts for our products and services from current $5M to $20M over the next 3 years
  • Build and develop relationships with executives within such customers
  • Identify growth opportunities and build strategic account plans
  • Build and develop the required team (sales, presales, consulting, etc) to manage these customers
  • Orchestrate internal resources in sales and delivery to give the customer an enhanced experience across touch-points
  • Maintain or enhance customer satisfaction levels
  • Travel and meet key customers on a regular basis

New customer acquisition and market development

  • Strategize and plan global marketing campaigns in close coordination with the Marketing team as well as SAP Industry team for this vertical
  • Support Market Units to acquire new customers in the Oil & Gas space and subsequently plan their transition to the vertical account team
  • Identify and build suitable industry GTM partnerships
  • Industry Solution
  • Liaise with SAP Industry Verticals and align ours and SAP's solutions
  • Integrate our industry solutions into SAP's Industry Cloud GTM
  • Co-innovate with select Oil & Gas customers to build deep industry specific application/solution/product
  • Identify new solution areas in Oil & Gas and recommend suitable Digital solutions for development teams to build for growth in the vertical
  • Support the solutions teams with customer perspectives and competitive intelligence to develop new vertical and horizontal solutions.
  • Recruit, develop and manage regional Industry consulting leads/Technical Account Managers
  • Sharpen our value proposition to the Oil & Gas vertical

Proven Business & Leadership skills

  • Proven customer-facing skills in a truly multi-cultural environment
  • Strong understanding of oil & gas value chain, current industry challenges and potential digital solutions
  • Strong knowledge of IT Delivery systems & methodologies
  • Eg: Agile, CI/CD, AMS, Product lifecycle, emerging capabilities etc.
  • Experience in closing deals in the range of $500K - $2M
  • Extensive experience in scaling client accounts, building referenceable client relationships and delivering IT solutions
  • Must have handled accounts with annuity revenue of at least $1M in IT services
  • Must have closed at least 1 solution deal worth $ 500K
  • Should be a team player who can work with internal and external teams to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction, self starter, high on energy and drive, with an ability to lead through ambiguity
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Open to travel and meet customers globally
