Job description

As a key member of our leadership team, the successful candidate will play an integral role in defining and delivering IT strategy and capabilities across the enterprise, including all affiliates, that will align with long term business goals and objectives. Along with leading our technology transformation across the company, you will work with enterprise leaders and stakeholders to ensure efficient deployment of stable, reliable and secure infrastructure and systems.   

  • Developing a comprehensive Information Technology strategic plan and vision that includes new solutions
  • Recommending improvements and changes to the senior leadership team
  • Overseeing all IT infrastructure and decision making with capital resources
  • Providing direction for shared services and economies of scale
  • Preparing and monitoring IT operational and capital budgets
  • Determining capital investment priorities and risks for enterprise-wide IT initiatives to maximize return on investment
  • Reviewing, recommending and overseeing all vendors, contracts and managed service agreements for computing, telecommunications, IT services and equipment
  • Developing and enforcing policy and procedures to ensure the protection of IT assets as well as the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to or maintained by the company
  • Overseeing the linkage between technology systems (e.g. government, vendors and other organizations) and company’s IT resources, including systems for electronic data exchange
  • Ensuring all information systems and networks operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards, regulatory agencies and legal requirements
  • Driving the development and adoption of technology standards while ensuring accurate technical specifications and documentation are maintained for all systems, change management and governance processes are followed
  • Directing, managing, developing and training staff
  • Overseeing a comprehensive information security program for the enterprise
  • Taking ownership of the enterprise-wide disaster recovery plan
  • Handling other related management functions as necessary

what we need from you:

BA/BS in a scientific or computer science related discipline. 15+ years of progressively responsible IT experience that includes senior level IT background. The ability to build enterprise-level data analytics; proficiency with data architecture, strategy and cybersecurity; and a track record of success in strategic technology planning, execution and policy development will be expected, as will experience with SaaS, cloud-based and outsourced solutions through third-party providers. Knowledge of security, privacy regulations and guidelines; knowledge of project management principles; and technical experience with systems networking, databases, web development and user support are all essential. Superior leadership, decision-making, oral/written communication, and analytical skills are a must.
