  • Location: 4 days/week in our San Diego office M-TH. Remote Fridays.
  • Compensation: $80,000 – $95,000
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Experience Level: 5+ years of professional video production experience, preferably within an agency, brand, or fast-paced creative environment. A background in sports is required.

We are looking for a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Animator to join our growing creative team in San Diego. This role is ideal for a highly skilled visual storyteller who combines strong editing instincts with advanced motion design capabilities. The ideal candidate understands how to craft compelling narratives, elevate brands through motion, and create content that performs across modern digital platforms.

As a member of the creative team, you’ll help shape visual storytelling from concept through final delivery while collaborating closely with creative leadership, marketing, designers, and clients.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead the editing and post-production process across campaigns, branded content, social media, experiential projects, and marketing initiatives
  • Design and animate motion graphics, title sequences, branded visual systems, and dynamic content packages
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, strategists, designers, producers, and account teams to bring creative concepts to life
  • Translate brand strategy and creative direction into engaging visual stories that resonate with audiences
  • Develop motion design systems that maintain consistency across campaigns and client brands
  • Edit content for multiple formats and platforms, including social media, digital advertising, presentations, events, and broadcast environments
  • Enhance projects through pacing, sound design, music selection, color correction, and visual effects
  • Participate in creative ideation, storyboard development, mood boards, and concept presentations
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and meeting deadlines
  • Present creative work internally and contribute thoughtfully during reviews and collaborative discussions
  • Stay current on emerging trends in video production, motion design, sports culture, social content, AI creative tools, and evolving platform best practices
  • Help identify opportunities to improve creative workflows, production efficiencies, and post-production processes
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in video editing, motion graphics, and visual storytelling
  • Advanced understanding of narrative structure, pacing, timing, and audience engagement
  • Exceptional motion design skills with the ability to create polished, brand-forward animations
  • Experience producing content across social, digital, campaign, and experiential environments
  • Ability to work across multiple industries, visual styles, and brand voices
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and the ability to execute under tight timelines
  • Excellent organizational skills and project management capabilities
  • Collaborative mindset with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to take ownership of projects from concept through delivery
  • Interest in mentorship, leadership growth, and increased creative responsibility over time
  • Experience working with sports, entertainment, lifestyle, or consumer brands is highly desirable
Preferred Tools & Skills
  • Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D motion design tools
  • Higgsfield AI
  • Audio editing and sound design experience
  • Color correction and finishing workflows
  • Familiarity with social-first content creation and platform optimization
  • Understanding of AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging creative technologies strongly preferred
