Senior Vice President of Human Resources
Salary: $125,000 - $145,000

The Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP of HR) sets the organization's long-range human capital strategy, shaping the strategic direction of HR policy, talent, and workforce planning across the agency. The SVP of HR establishes the strategic framework for talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and employee support services, and leads the HR leadership team to ensure the function delivers regulatory compliance and a high-performing work environment. This role partners with executive leadership to align human resources strategy with the agency's operational objectives, mission, and vision, and directs the teams, processes, and technology roadmap needed to support regulatory compliance and workforce analytics at scale.
As our Senior Vice President of Human Resources you will:
  • Set the organization's multi-year human capital strategy, translating agency-wide strategic and operational goals into workforce, talent, and organizational-design priorities.

  • Elevate HR as a strategic partner within the organization, providing counsel to the executive team and Board on the workforce implications of major organizational decisions.

  • Establish and continuously evaluate the organization's total rewards philosophy for compensation and employee benefits. Ensure programs remain cost-effective, competitive, and equitable, directing the HR leadership team on implementation.

  • Set the strategic direction for organizational structure, job architecture, and performance management frameworks, in accordance with the organization's overall objectives.

  • Define the organization's approach to executive and high-potential leadership development, ensuring a sustainable succession pipeline across the organization.

  • Establish the framework and escalation standards for employee relations governance across the organization, ensuring consistency, fairness, and legal defensibility, while delegating case-level investigation and resolution to the HR leadership team.

  • Serve as a core member of the executive leadership team, participating in agency-wide strategic planning and ensuring HR strategy is fully integrated into the organization's broader operational and financial plans.

Position Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field

  • Ten or more years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience, including significant experience operating at a strategic, executive level with demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership

Preferred Education and Experience :
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field

  • Experience with self-fund health insurance plans

  • SHRM-SCP or SPHR Certification (senior-level HR certification
