Description:

The Vice President, Revenue Cycle (VP) is the strategic and operational leader responsible for all aspects of the revenue cycle at Phoebe Putney Health System. The VP, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer, will direct, manage, and implement programs to ensure efficient operations of the health system's Revenue Cycle program to generate sufficient cash flow to support operations and strategic initiatives for the health system. Additionally, the VP is responsible for identifying, analyzing, reducing, and resolving revenue cycle issues. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with the administrative, clinical, and physician leadership across the organization. This leader will also promote working relationships with key external organizations; this would include other providers, payers, government entities, and applicable professional associations.

The VP will set strategy, plan, develop, and lead all administrative and clinical support functions that contribute to the capture, management, and collection of patient service revenues from all payers and all patient services provided by Phoebe Putney Health System.

The ideal candidate for the Vice President must be well-rounded with all aspects of revenue cycle and have at least ten (10) years of experience as a revenue cycle leader in a complex setting, Bachelor's degree.

In addition, the successful candidate should possess the following:

A strong understanding of finance and accounting - CPA background preferred.

A systemic perspective and an understanding of what it takes to work in a complex organization with multiple entities.

Strong business acumen and demonstrated ability to control expenses while building programs that provide revenue growth.

Significant experience with identifying and implementing performance improvement through benchmarking and identifying best practices.

Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences - especially with revenue cycle matters.

Experience with broad application of both financial and clinical information systems. Familiarity with Meditech is highly desirable.

Good decision skills derived from a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment. Under tight deadlines and pressure, able to make timely decisions and be responsive to others, even with sometimes incomplete information.
