As VP Finance you will be the primary financial steward of Xe, leading a capable team across Financial Control, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Credit, and Middle Office. You will hold personal FCA Senior Manager accountability (SMF2) and carry board and director responsibilities across Xe's multi-entity legal structure. This is a hands-on role for a finance leader who can operate with precision across a complex multi-jurisdiction environment while remaining a close strategic partner to the business.

FP&A, budgeting & cost control
  • Lead FP&A - evolve from a static model to driver-based rolling forecasts and scenario planning that connect business activity to financial outcomes.
  • Own the annual budgeting process end-to-end; track actuals vs. budget monthly and drive variance accountability with function heads.
  • Enforce the global expense policy and act as second-level approver on material invoices.

Financial control & controlling
  • Oversee month-end close, external audit relationships, and accounts payable globally.
  • Define and maintain Xe's internal financial control framework across all entities - procure-to-pay and order-to-cash cycles.
  • Serve as primary interface with internal and external audit; track and remediate control deficiencies.

  • Manage multi-currency, multi-entity treasury operations - FX exposure, settlement, liquidity, and TMF relationships with banking partners.
  • Ensure safeguarding of client funds under Payment Services and Electronic Money Regulations; oversee regulatory capital and stress testing.
  • Define and implement Xe's corporate credit policy - currently a strategic gap - and oversee credit risk, limits, provisioning, and collections.
  • Oversee middle office: trade confirmation, settlement, valuation, and front-to-back controls.

Regulatory, board & governance
  • Hold SMF2 (Chief Finance Function) accountability under FCA Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).
  • Carry board director responsibilities across Xe's regulated entities - HiFX Europe Ltd, HiFM Ltd, XE Europe BV, XE Corporation.
