Role Overview:ย 
Reporting to the Founderย and CEO, theย VP ofย Operations, willย manage the dailyย logistics, administrative functions, and facility operations for a sports team, league, or facility,ย ensuring compliance with safety regulations and athletic policies, working closely with coaches and executives.ย Experience in sports managementย is preferable.ย 
ย 

As theย VP ofย Operations, you willย be responsible for:ย 

This position requires a dynamic, business development-oriented, strategic leader who will ensure the successful management and delivery of multiple sports programs (such as, but not limited to, baseball, soccer, volleyball, etc.), team acquisition and development, all whileย building for scale.ย 
ย 

Key Responsibilities:ย 
ย 

Strategic Leadership and Management:ย 

  • Day-to-Day Logistics:โ€ฏManage team travel, game-dayย logistics, and daily administrative functions.ย 

  • Facility/Venue Operations:โ€ฏOversee maintenance, scheduling, and safety protocols for sports facilities.ย Transitionย new facilities and acquisitions.ย ย 

  • Budget & Finance:โ€ฏDevelop and administer program budgets, including controlling equipment and supply costs.ย 

  • Staff Coordination:โ€ฏHire, train, and supervise event personnel and support staff.ย 

  • Liaison/Communication:โ€ฏWork with coaches, athletes, sponsors, media, and external agencies to ensure smooth operation of programs.ย 

  • Compliance:โ€ฏEnsure compliance with league regulations, safety standards, and risk management protocols.ย 

Business Development & Growth:ย 

  • Acquisition of Teams and Facilities.ย Identifyย and pursue new revenue streams, partnerships, sponsorships, and expansion opportunities.ย 

  • Work with the VP of Sales and Marketing toย optimizeย Revenue, including programs,ย facilitiesย and other avenues.ย

Qualifications Required:ย 

ย 
Knowledge/Skills:ย 

  • Proven experience in business development, revenue generation, and brand building.ย 

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in developing, leading, and scaling multi-layered B2C (Business to Consumer) businesses. Experience working with sports, fitness, or athletic developmentย organizationsย a plus.ย 

  • Experience in scaling a business.ย A track recordย of success in managing multi-location operations and large teams is a plus.ย 

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage key stakeholders, from parents and athletes to investors and media.ย 

  • Strong understanding of youth athlete development, collegiate recruiting, and professional sports pathways is a plus.ย

Education:ย 

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Sports Management, or similar. (Masterโ€™s degree preferred).ย 

  • Leadership certifications from recognized bodiesย a plus.ย
