This executive leadership role oversees multi-state operations, develops State Directors and Operations Directors, and helps shape the long-term strategy of an organization committed to strengthening children, families, and communities across the Southeast.

The Opportunity

The Vice President of Operations provides executive leadership across multiple states, ensuring organizational performance, financial sustainability, leadership development, and operational excellence.

You'll partner closely with executive leadership to build scalable systems, strengthen leaders, improve performance, and position Thompson for continued growth.


Your Impact

You'll:

· Lead and develop State Directors and Operations Directors across multiple states

· Drive operational strategy and organizational performance

· Improve financial sustainability and resource allocation

· Develop executive-level leadership talent

· Partner on expansion initiatives and new service lines

· Ensure consistency in operational excellence across all business units

· Build systems that enable sustainable organizational growth


Who You Are

You're a servant leader who enjoys coaching executives, solving complex organizational challenges, and helping organizations reach their full potential.

You've successfully led large, geographically dispersed teams while balancing mission, financial performance, operational quality, and people development.

You're equally comfortable discussing strategy in the boardroom and coaching leaders in the field.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

· Master's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field

· Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience

· Minimum 7 years leading leaders

· Experience overseeing multiple business units or geographic regions

· Strong financial, operational, and strategic planning skills

· Executive-level leadership experience preferred


Location: Primarily remote with regular travel throughout Thompson's service areas.


Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range: $102,000–$123,000

Plus:

· Three weeks PTO during your first year
