Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Master Scheduler to lead production planning across our private label food manufacturing network. This role is responsible for developing the Master Production Schedule (MPS), leading Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), and managing a team of schedulers supporting three manufacturing facilities and a dedicated labeling operation with approximately 500 SKUs. The ideal candidate is a collaborative supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has a proven ability to optimize capacity, improve service levels, and drive planning excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production schedulers.
  • Balance customer demand, inventory targets, production capacity, and material availability to maximize service and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, Sales, Quality, and Finance to align production plans with business objectives.
  • Identify capacity constraints and supply risks while developing proactive mitigation plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy, schedule adherence, inventory performance, and capacity utilization.
  • Serve as the planning systems expert, ensuring ERP data integrity and developing key planning metrics and reporting.

Requirements
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2+ years of leadership experience managing planners or schedulers.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP), and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred
  • Experience in food, beverage, dairy, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) manufacturing.
  • Experience with private label or contract manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of S&OP processes, APICS CPIM or CSCP certification, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Experience managing high-SKU manufacturing environments.
